As we expand globally with a new office in China, we’re looking for a Sourcing Manager with strong Mandarin fluency, deep international vendor management experience, and the maturity to lead cross-border sourcing operations. If you’re a self-made professional who’s built expertise from the ground up, navigated tough negotiations, and understands the sourcing lifecycle end-to-end, this is a seat at the table that defines Buildskill’s global footprint.What You’ll DoChina Vendor Management: Manage our newly set-up China office and build strong relationships with Chinese suppliers, manufacturers, and local partners.International Coordination: Act as the bridge between Buildskill India and our Chinese counterpart, ensuring complete alignment on quality, pricing, and delivery schedules.Negotiation Ownership: Lead all supplier negotiations to ensure competitive pricing, contractual compliance, and long-term vendor confidence.Travel frequently to China: Represent Buildskill during global sourcing trips, including factory visits, audits, and trade exhibitions.Cross-Cultural Liaison: Accompany the CEO to China as translator and operational support during vendor or partner meetings.Sourcing and Procurement: Oversee vendor onboarding, product sampling, order placement, quality control, and logistics follow-up.Operational Excellence: Build purchase systems, tracking processes, and vendor performance reviews from scratch.Team and Office Oversight: Manage workflow, personnel, and vendor relationships connected to the China office, ensuring smooth day-to-day coordination.Strategic Input: Support leadership with sourcing insights, cost analytics, trend research, and risk assessments for product or vendor diversification.Who You AreFluent in Mandarin (spoken mandatory); reading and writing skills are a strong plus.Strong command of English communication (spoken and written).6–10 years of hands-on sourcing, procurement, or purchase experience, preferably in a hardware, tooling, or automotive environment.Proven track record of vendor management, factory coordination, and supplier negotiation in China.Exposure to China travel and manufacturing ecosystems is mandatory.Stable professional history — at least 2+ years in each organization throughout your career.Strong Excel skills — including data analysis, tracking dashboards, and cost evaluation.Ground-up professional — someone who has worked their way up through experience and persistence, not just degrees.Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.Comfortable managing remote operations, time zones, and multicultural teams.Independent, self-disciplined, and capable of taking full ownership with minimal supervision.Must hold a valid passport and be ready for regular international travel with the CEOWhy BuildskillHigh-impact role reporting directly to the CEO.Work across languages, borders, and product lines, driving sourcing strategy for an industry-leading brand.Visible results, strong career ownership, and frequent exposure to international business leadership.
