Role: Cloud Engineer Engineer, Cloud & Infrastructure -- Job Description The Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer will be a critical leader and technical contributor in our Cloud and Infrastructure Team. The individual will design, build and operate critical cloud and infrastructure services that are part of Arcserve’s service portfolio. The successful candidate will have a track record of success leading other technical personnel and working in diverse Information Technology (IT) environments that contain a mix of Windows Server, Linux and Unix systems. Proven technical expertise in Windows and Unix administration is vital for this role and the successful candidate will have experience supporting complex IT environments. We work in a highly collaborative, hands-on, team environment creating a learning culture focused on growing our business. THIS ROLE WILL SUPPORT CUSTOMERS AND PARTNERS IN EMEA AND THE US. INDIVIDUAL WILL NEED TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO START THEIR DAY BY 6AM US EST OR 11AM UK UTC. Essential Job Responsibilities: Provide both leadership and hands-on technical support in a global team environment Mentor and train other technical team members Develop logical and physical architecture drawings for existing and new IT environments Incorporate automation, e.g., use of scripts, to minimize errors and manual effort Setup and operate reliable Windows Server 2016 and Server 2019 infrastructure with ability to see the process through from inception through production. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation of systems. Evaluate customer requirements and implement compliant engineering architecture designs and documentation. Provide technical input to ensure system design and delivery schedules are properly developed and implemented. Provide inputs to project plans and support scoping and estimation discussions. Identify and troubleshoot issues while working with the team to efficiently solve problems and implement solutions. Perform root cause analysis of critical incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation. Use trouble-ticketing system to manage and track all work efforts Provides on-call support – rotates on-call duties with other team members Ability to do occasional travel if required Perform other duties as required Required Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience to meet the essential functions of the position Four (4) years of experience designing, deploying, and operating diverse IT solutions Experience in designing, implementing, operating, and troubleshooting complex systems Ability to perform administration of Windows Server 2019 -2022 Ability to learn administration tasks for Solaris and various Linux Server environments Ability to produce detailed technical documentation and updated records of work performed while adhering to customer requirements and standards Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills to work with clients, team members, and management staff Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to meet project ob-jectives Capacity to work closely with cross-functional groups in a collaborative, team environment across different time zones Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner Ability to work independently or as part of a team environment Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Preferred Job Qualifications: Experience with Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Data Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) Experience with Microsoft HyperV SAN and/or Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) Experience with Microsoft SC VMM Experience with Linux and ZFS Experience with Terraform and Chef ITIL Foundations certification and/or experience working with ITIL Knowledgeable in storage and disaster recovery infrastructure and technology Share CV and details if interested: Linux administration exp: Windows server exp: ZFS: Hyper V: SCVMM: Grafana: Curr CTC: Exp CTC: Notice: Regards, Sonal Gharge Arcserve India Arcserve | Assured Recovery » Facebook » Twitter » LinkedIn » YouTube
