Role Overview We are seeking a versatile Humanities Subject Matter Expert to join the State History team. This role is unique in its focus on modern content delivery, requiring a blend of pedagogical expertise and technical savvy. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, AI-generated instructional videos while ensuring all content meets rigorous standards for grammatical correctness, instructional integrity, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) compliance.Key Responsibilities Utilize AI technology tools to create instructional videos that deliver content in an engaging, student-centered manner.Ensure all video scripts and onscreen instruction follow best practices for secondary education pedagogy.Apply a deep understanding of DEI principles to all content to ensure it is inclusive, culturally responsive, and free from bias or sensitivity issues.Maintain an impeccable standard for English grammar, mechanics, and conventions across all onscreen text and scripts.Analyze state history standards to develop blueprints, lessons, and assignments that align with project requirements.Actively communicate status updates with the project lead, triage curriculum-specific issues, and meet all delivery deadlines through the end of the 2026 calendar year.Resolve curriculum-specific bugs and report defects within the digital platform.Other duties as required.Required Qualifications & Experience Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or English/ELA. Proven experience in secondary education (Middle or High School) curriculum development or teaching. Exposure to the US curriculum for grades 6 -12 Hands-on experience with AI tools (specifically AI video generation, prompt engineering, or synthetic media) is highly preferred. An expert-level grasp of English grammar and style; a /"keen eye/" for editorial detail. Demonstrated understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles and how to apply them to educational content. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to quickly master new software and proprietary content management tools. Superior written and oral communication skills; self-motivated with the ability to manage shifting expectations in a fast-paced environment.
