Java Application Support Engineer (Australia shifts)Location: Bangalore / PuneMode: HybridShift: Australian shifts - IST (5:30am to 2:30pm)Job Summary:We are looking for a Support Engineer with 3-5 years of experience supporting Java and Java Script based web applications in production environments. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience troubleshooting front-end and backend issues, and the ability to work closely with engineering teams to ensure application stability, performance, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Provide L2L3 support for Java and JavaScript based web applications in production and pre-production environmentsTroubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application issues related to Java backend services and JavaScript front-end componentsMonitor application health, logs, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve issuesWork closely with development teams to diagnose defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes or workaroundsSupport API integrations, service failures, and data-related issues Perform production deployments, hotfixes, and configuration changes as required Create and maintain support documentation, runbooks, and incident reportsParticipate in on-call rotations and handle incident escalations within SLA timelinesAssist in improving system stability, performance, and operational processes RequiredSkills Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in application support or production support rolesStrong hands-on experience with Java and JavaScript based applicationsWorking knowledge of Java frameworks e.g., Spring, Spring Boot and JavaScript frameworks React, Angular, or Vue.js from a support perspectiveStrong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and asynchronous processingExperience analysing logs, stack traces, and error reports to identify root causesFamiliarity with Linux Unix environments and basic command-line operationsExperience with Git and issue-tracking tools Jira or similar Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skillsPreferred Nice to Have Experience with production monitoring and logging tools Splunk, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, etc.Exposure to CICD pipelines and release management processesExperience supporting microservices-based Java applicationsFamiliarity with database troubleshooting SQL basics, query analysisExperience working in Agile Scrum environments.Understanding of ITIL processes incident, problem, change managementWhat We Offer Opportunity to support enterprise-scale Java and JavaScript applications Stable, process-driven, and collaborative work environment Strong learning opportunities in production systems and application architecture Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits
