Together, we are redefining the global supply chain, and we’re just getting started.The Senior Director of Engineering will lead large, cross-functional software engineering teams building enterprise-grade warehouse execution and automation platforms. This role requires strong technical leadership combined with domain understanding of warehouse operations (WES/WMS/WCS) to deliver scalable, reliable systems that power fulfilment centres and robotics-driven environments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead multiple engineering teams responsible for WES/WMS/WCS and related platform services.Drive technical strategy for warehouse execution software, real-time orchestration, and automation integrations.Partner with Product and Customer Operations teams to translate warehouse workflows into scalable software solutions.Own architecture decisions across microservices, cloud platforms, edge systems, and real-time integrations.Ensure high availability and performance for mission-critical warehouse systems.Build and mentor engineering leaders; develop succession plans and high-performing teams.Drive engineering excellence, including CI/CD, observability, reliability, and security.Collaborate with robotics, controls, and hardware teams for seamless system integration.Build a culture of ownership, transparency, and follow-through across engineering leadership layers.Translate the company strategy into executable engineering objectives and measurable impact.Lead hiring strategy and technical bar-raising across the organization.Minimum Qualifications17+ years of software engineering experience with 7+ years in senior leadership rolesExperience leading large engineering organisations (30–100+ engineers preferred).Strong hands-on background in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and real-time platforms.Preferred prior experience with warehouse systems such as WES, WMS, WCS, or supply chain execution platforms.Understanding of fulfilment operations, inventory management, order orchestration, or automation workflows.Proven ability to deliver enterprise SaaS or platform products.Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.Equal Opportunity EmployerGrey Orange Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
