Role SummaryTo support the growth and profitability of the Beauty & Personal Care (BPC) category by executing buying, assortment planning, and inventory management activities that ensure the right brands and products are available at the right time and price. The role focuses on vendor coordination, replenishment planning, trade performance tracking, and in-store execution to deliver strong sell-through, high availability, and optimal stock productivity across stores and channels.Key ResponsibilitiesCategory & Business SupportSupport achievement of sales, margin, sell-through, stock turn, and GMROI targets for the BPC category.Track weekly trade performance and highlight risks/opportunities to the Category Manager.Assist in managing product freshness, availability, and range productivity.Ensure minimal stock-outs and optimal inventory levels across stores.Buying & Assortment PlanningAssist in building assortment plans across key segments across Beauty & Personal Care.Support option planning by brand, price tier, and customer need states.Execute buying activities as per calendar, including order placement, follow-ups, and replenishment.Assist in identifying new brands, SKUs, and trends based on customer demand and market insights.Ensure a balanced mix of core, fast-moving, and new launches.Replenishment & Inventory ManagementMonitor OTB, stock cover, replenishment cycles, and ageing inventory.Track expiry-sensitive inventory and ensure timely liquidation or rotation.Support allocation and replenishment to maintain optimum stock levels by store cluster.Drive quick repeats on fast sellers and corrective actions on slow movers.Assist in markdown and liquidation planning to reduce obsolescence.Vendor & Brand ManagementCoordinate with vendors/brands for order placement, new launches, and timely deliveries.Track vendor performance on fill rates, lead times, and service levels.Support negotiations on pricing, schemes, and commercial terms.Ensure adherence to quality standards, packaging norms, and compliance requirements.Maintain strong working relationships with key brand partners.Market & Consumer InsightsTrack competition, pricing trends, and promotional activities.Conduct store visits to understand customer preferences and shopping behavior.Provide insights to improve assortment, pricing, and placement.Support post-launch analysis and recommend improvements.Product Presentation & Retail ExecutionWork closely with Visual Merchandising and Retail teams to ensure planogram compliance and effective shelf visibility.Support execution of promotions, displays, and new product launches.Ensure correct product placement, signage, and brand blocking.Maintain strong hygiene standards and stock organization in stores.Cross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate with Planning, Supply Chain and Store Operations for smooth execution.
