Job Role - Record to Report Team leadRole Description Statement The Record to Report Team Lead (RTR) is responsible for overseeing and controlling the RTR processes performed in the Center of Excellence. The professional acts as a Team Lead for the RTR staff in the Center of Excellence (CoE) while making sure that processes remain aligned and that global process standards are “anchored”. Key processes in scope for RTR CoE are i.e. Support the month end closing activities, Process management, accounts reconciliations and governance around RTR processes.Key Responsibilities Minimum Job Requirements / SkillsetFirst point of contact for assigned operational RTR CoE hub staffPoint of contact for internal and external auditorsLead and manage a team of RTR Accountants and Specialists, setting clear objectives, evaluating performance, workload distribution and providing coaching and development opportunitiesOversee the RTR activities in scope for CoE including Master Data & System governance, Reporting, Data Analysis, Cash Forecast, and Process managementSupport system upgrades and migrations related to R2R processesMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of RTR processes and implement continuous improvement initiativesAssess standardization, optimization and automation potential from Legal Entities / country specifics based on market best practices and/or best in class Legal EntitiesCollaborate with local finance, CoE accounting and Controlling teams, BPO provider (DXC) and other departments to streamline RTR processes and resolve any issues that may ariseSupport the period end closing, and related analytics, ensuring thorough and precise financial tracking and reportingEnsure all financial reporting and processes comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the Sulzer directives and the Sulzer Accounting Manual (SAM)Ensure RTR internal controls are in place in the CoE and followed for the processes performed by this roleEducation and experienceUniversity degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related fieldMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in Accounting with a strong focus on general ledger and financial reportingCPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent certification preferredCritical success factorsProficiency in coordination and planning of work for assigned teams and activity clustersStrong understanding of global financial processes and standardsStrong financial acumenStrong communication skills for delivering key insights to i.e. CoE Accounting Lead, Reporting & Analytics team and Country Finance HeadsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholdersTechnical & language skillsProficient in ERP systems (relevant to your business unit; SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or iScala)Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skillsExperience with Tagetik and Qlik Sense is a plusProficiency in EnglishInterfaces withAccounting teamsReporting & Analytics teamLocal Accounting ManagersCountry Finance HeadsRTR GPOExternal stakeholders (i.e. auditors, tax authorities etc.)
