We analyse terabytes of data to identify pricing anomalies and drive innovation in financial markets.Role OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead and strengthen our finance function in India. This role is central to driving the firm’s financial strategy, ensuring robust financial controls, and maintaining strict compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with senior management and external stakeholders, supporting decision making in a highly regulated and fast paced financial markets environment.Key Responsibilities and DeliverablesDrive and support the formulation and execution of the overall financial strategy, including cost structures and management decision making.Oversee end to end financial accounting, including trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet finalization.Manage day to day finance operations with strong internal controls, ensuring accuracy, discipline, and timeliness.Lead monthly and quarterly closing processes, including timely valuation closures and internal reporting.Supervise payroll, procurement, accounts payable, and vendor management processes.Monitor cash flows, working capital, and liquidity to ensure effective treasury management.Oversee funding activities, maintain banking relationships, and manage OD/credit lines.Monitor risk exposure, collateral management, and settlement discipline in line with business and regulatory requirements.Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, FEMA, RBI, Income Tax, and other applicable laws.Lead statutory audits, internal audits, regulatory audits, cost audits and due diligence exercises.Prepare, review, and present financial and management reports, including:Revenue reconciliation (brokerage income, profit/cost and responsibility centres)Cash flow statements, Budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.Liaise with auditors, consultants, bankers, and tax advisors on audit matters, financial reporting, and compliance obligations.Support governance requirements applicable to regulated financial services and captive entities.Undertake ad-hoc assignments, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as required.Eligibility and Required SkillsQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is a prerequisite.Additional qualification from a recognized institute (e.g., ICSI) is an added advantage.Minimum 8+ years of overall experience, with preferably 3–5 years in Stock Broking, Capital Markets, Financial Services / FinTech or Financial Services practice in a Big 4 firm.Strong experience in statutory, regulatory, and GST compliance within the Indian financial services ecosystem.Exposure to internal audit, risk management, or control frameworks is a strong plus.Proven ability to manage complex audits, regulatory interactions, and financial reporting requirements.Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.BenefitsOur open and casual work culture gives you the space to innovate and deliver.
