Senior Analyst – Procurement & Sourcing Reports To: Hiring ManagerDepartment: Professional Services and Asset & Wealth ManagementLocation: GurugramJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst to join our Procurement Intelligence team, focusing on supplier outreach, spend analysis, and strategic sourcing research. The role requires 3-5 years of experience in primary research, supplier intelligence, and procurement analytics. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, data interpretation abilities, and a good understanding of compliance standards.This position combines cold calling, supplier verification, spend data categorization, and support for procurement transformation initiatives.Key Responsibilities1. Supplier Intelligence:Support longlisting and shortlisting of suppliers using desk research and outreach.Design supplier discovery strategy for assigned categories (search logic, filters, must-have criteria). Conduct supplier verification by assessing product fit, technical capabilities, volume capacity, and export readiness. Shortlist Supplier with evidence-backed rationale and structured capability mapping.2. Category Intelligence & Market Insights: Create high-quality category intelligence deliverables: supplier landscape, cost drivers, pricing mechanisms, demand-supply shifts, and risks/opportunities. Produce insight-led narratives (what it means for sourcing strategy, levers, and trade-offs). 3. Primary Research Leadership: Plan and execute primary research approach: call guides, questionnaires, outreach sequencing, and response quality controls. Ensure structured documentation, triangulation, and defensibility of insights. Comply with internal policies, avoiding proprietary data collection and activities like mystery shopping.4. Survey Requests & Coordination: Support client requests involving supplier surveys, especially for sourcing or market insights. Ensure sanitized questionnaires are used and respondent numbers stay within internal thresholds unless approvals are obtained. Coordinate with internal stakeholders for survey approvals, timelines, and compliance protocols. Analyze survey responses and summarize insights for category strategy development or supplier benchmarking. 5. RFX Support: RFIs / RFQs / RFPs / Re-bids:Own key components of RFX execution: requirement templates, supplier communication, response consolidation, clarification loops, and evaluation trackers.Support supplier selection through structured comparisons, scoring models, and decision logs (as per client criteria).6. Supplier Benchmarking & Scorecards:Build and maintain supplier scorecards including capability, commercial constructions, quality, ESG/compliance indicators, delivery performance, and risk factors.Drive benchmarking across suppliers and create management-ready summary views (pros/cons, differentiators, recommendation logic).7. Spend Intelligence & Data Management:Perform Supplier normalization/parenting and taxonomy creation aligned with standards like UNSPSC, SIC, or NAICS. • Categorize direct, indirect, and MRO spend data.Translate analysis into actionable outputs for sourcing decisions (concentration risk, supplier fragmentation, savings opportunity, etc.).Use tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Alteryx for visualization and insights will be a plus.
