This role focuses on technology-driven insights across the solar PV and energy storage value chain, supporting developers, EPCs, investors, lenders, and procurement teams with clear interpretation of innovation, performance limits, cost impacts, and bankability considerations. This role contributes directly to STS Market Intelligence products, ensuring that technology trends are connected to pricing, supply chain dynamics, procurement decisions, and investment risk.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology & Market IntelligenceTrack technology trends across solar modules, cells, wafers, inverters, and energy storage systemsSeparate real technology progress from marketing claimsTranslate technical innovation into implications for cost, performance, adoption, and riskResearch, Benchmarking & AnalysisConduct structured research on performance, reliability, and technology roadmapsDevelop benchmarks and comparative assessments of products and suppliersIdentify technical risks and bankability considerationsReports & Thought LeadershipDraft high-quality technology reports, briefings, and market intelligence contentContribute to recurring publications and client-facing insightsPresent findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersClient & Business SupportSupport advisory engagements and respond to client technology queriesAssist with webinars, workshops, and conference presentationsProvide post-delivery technical support and advisoryCollaboration & ExecutionWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliveryMaintain structured datasets and transparent assumptionsSupport strategic initiatives and OKR-driven projectsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of solar PV and/or battery storage technologiesAbility to link engineering realities with market, procurement, and investment insightsSkills RequiredTechnical & AnalyticalSolar PV / energy storage performance, degradation, and failure modesBenchmarking, cost-performance trade-offs, and market adoption dynamicsStrong Excel and business analysis skills (Power BI is a plus)CommunicationExcellent written and verbal EnglishStrong report-writing, storytelling, and presentation skillsAbility to explain complex topics to diverse audiencesPersonal AttributesCurious, analytical, and detail-orientedCollaborative and stakeholder-focusedAdaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environmentHigh standards of professionalism and integrityAdditional InformationWork Arrangement: Home office (remote)Travel: Periodic travel for client, team, and project requirements
