Infrastructure Engineer – AzureLocation: Bangalore. 3 Days a week in office. We operate across 12+ countries, with our Global Operations Center in Bangalore supporting clients worldwide, including a leading global ride-hailing platform and a top international property rental marketplace.Role OverviewWe are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to manage and maintain our Azure cloud infrastructure. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring our systems remain reliable, secure, and scalable as we grow. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Azure environment, including virtual machines, databases, networking, monitoring, and security.Key ResponsibilitiesAzure Infrastructure ManagementManage and maintain Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and related resourcesAdminister Azure SQL databases, including performance tuning, backups, and high availability configurationsConfigure and manage Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway)Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or TerraformEnsure system reliability and uptime across production environmentsMonitoring & PerformanceSet up and maintain monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and related toolsMonitor system performance, resource utilization, and identify optimization opportunitiesRespond to and resolve infrastructure incidents in a timely mannerImplement automation to improve monitoring and incident responseSecurity & ComplianceImplement and maintain Azure security best practices (RBAC, Key Vault, Security Center)Monitor security alerts and respond to security incidentsEnsure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standardsManage backup and disaster recovery solutionsCost Management & OptimizationMonitor Azure spending and identify cost optimization opportunitiesProvide monthly cost reports and recommendations to managementImplement resource tagging and cost allocation strategiesRequired QualificationsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (required) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert5+ years of hands-on experience managing Azure infrastructure in production environmentsExperience with Azure SQL Database, including backup/restore and basic administrationProficiency with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPN, ExpressRoute)Experience with infrastructure as code tools (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform)Strong understanding of Azure security features and best practicesExperience with monitoring and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics)Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a small team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in fintech, insurtech, or SaaS companiesMicrosoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or advanced SQL Server DBA skillsKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or BashBenefits33 days of paid holidayCompetitive compensation well above market averageWork in a high-growth, high-impact environment with passionate, talented peersOpportunity to gain deep expertise in Azure cloud infrastructureFlexible hybrid work arrangement
