POSITION OVERVIEW:To lead the flavour manufacturing process, testing, and approval of tobacco and capsule flavours. As a role holder for the flavour manufacturing head, liaise with the flavour development team to ensure the commercialisation of new flavours with an end-to-end perspective, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing capabilities to deliver quality product.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan raw material, liaise with domestic and international suppliers along with the HO purchasing team to ensure RM stock as per the normsEnsure the manufacturing plan meets the divisional volume planEnsure that the manufactured flavours meet the quality tests and sensory needsDispatch flavours to Units, and ensure that the flavour inventory is maintained as per normsOversee scale-up and transfer of flavour formulations from development to manufacturing, ensuring process reliability and product consistencyEnsure all flavour ingredients comply with local and international regulatory and safety standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Development, Quality, and Regulatory, to drive project successStay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to implement best practices in flavour manufacturingWork on encapsulated flavour shell material developmentWork on encapsulating new flavours for capsulesMaintain comprehensive documentation of formulations, analytical results, sensory data, and project milestonesMentor and guide junior technologists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovationEDUCATIONAL BACKGROUNDMSc.
