The role requires strong technical expertise, people leadership skills, and ownership of project delivery across cost, quality, and timelines. The focus will primarily be on electric two-wheelers and automotive systems.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and mentor a team of mechanical engineersTake ownership of team deliverables, quality, and timelinesBreak down project-level requirements into system- and component-level specificationsReview and guide mechanical designs to ensure engineering standards and best practices are followedPlan and manage resources, budgets, and schedules for assigned projectsIdentify risks related to cost, quality, or delivery and escalate proactivelyCoordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external stakeholdersSupport validation activities, including DFMEA, testing, and production readinessEnsure proper documentation of designs, learnings, and best practicesPresent technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders when requiredRequired Skills & Experience:8+ years of experience in mechanical design within automotive or EV domainsPrior experience in leading or mentoring engineersStrong understanding of vehicle-level engineering and system integrationExperience in areas such as chassis, brakes, suspension, plastics, sheet metal, transmission, or vehicle integrationProficiency in 3D CAD tools (Creo or similar) and 2D drawingsKnowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA/DFS, and value engineeringExperience with CAE tools and validation methodologiesFamiliarity with project management processesPrior EV or two-wheeler experience is an advantageQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringHands-on engineering and production exposure preferredParticipation in Formula Student or similar projects is a plusInterested candidates can send their updated resume to fiona@
