Reporting to: CFORole OverviewThe Finance Controller is responsible for end-to-end financial accounting, statutory compliance, internal controls, and audit governance. The role ensures accuracy of financial records, audit readiness, and strong financial discipline as the business scales across B2B channels and multi-location operations.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & CloseOwn monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing under Ind ASEnsure accuracy of GL, provisions, accruals, reconciliations, and balancesManage consolidation and inter-company accounting, where applicableControls, Compliance & AuditDesign, implement, and enforce accounting controls and SOPsLead statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit processesEnsure compliance with Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and applicable regulationsInventory & Cost AccountingOversee inventory accounting, valuation, ageing, and write-offsEnsure correct accounting of duties, freight, landed costs, and provisionsWork closely with operations and supply chain on inventory controlsStakeholder & Team ManagementLead accounting, AP, and AR teamsCoordinate with auditors, consultants, and bankersAct as finance SPOC for internal business and leadership teamsSystems & Process ExcellenceOwn ERP accounting modules and finance workflows, experience in Zoho Books preferredDrive standardisation, automation, and process improvementsPrepare finance packs for management and board reviewsQualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory(CPA / CMA may be considered with strong controllership experience)8-12 years of experience in financial accounting / controllership rolesExperience in B2B retail, wholesale, distribution-led, or product-led organisationsStrong exposure to inventory accounting, GST compliance, and multi-location operationsExperience supporting channel-driven and enterprise sales models preferred
