Position SummaryThe Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and protecting the university’s brand identity across all platforms and audiences. This role ensures brand consistency, strengthens institutional reputation, and supports enrollment, advancement, and engagement goals through strategic brand positioning and storytelling.Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Strategy & ManagementDevelop and implement the university’s brand strategy in alignment with institutional mission and valuesMaintain and enforce brand guidelines, visual identity standards, and tone of voiceServe as the brand steward for the university, ensuring consistency across colleges, departments, and initiativesConduct brand audits and recommend improvementsMarketing & CommunicationsCollaborate with internal teams to create brand-aligned marketing and communication materialsReview and approve creative assets (print, digital, video, signage, merchandise) for brand complianceSupport enrollment marketing, alumni relations, fundraising, and academic promotionsOversee messaging for major campaigns and institutional announcementsStakeholder CollaborationPartner with academic units, admissions, advancement, athletics, and student services to align branding effortsProvide brand training and guidance to faculty and staffCoordinate with external agencies, designers, and vendorsResearch & AnalyticsMonitor brand perception, awareness, and reputation through surveys and market researchAnalyze campaign performance and brand metrics to inform strategyTrack trends in higher education branding and marketingDigital & Social Media (if applicable)Ensure brand consistency across the university website, social media, and digital platformsCollaborate with digital teams on content strategy and storytellingSupport crisis communication and reputation management effortsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Branding, or a related fieldProven experience in brand management, marketing, or strategic communicationsStrong understanding of brand strategy, visual identity systems, and messaging frameworksExperience managing multiple stakeholders and complex organizationsPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related fieldExperience in higher education, nonprofit, or public-sector organizationsFamiliarity with enrollment marketing and institutional advancementExperience managing agencies or cross-functional teamsSkills & CompetenciesStrategic thinking and strong brand judgmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to balance creativity with institutional governanceStrong project management and organizational skillsData-driven decision-making and analytical skillsCultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse audiences
