Join us, and let's create the future of gaming together!Role & Responsibilities - What you will do:As a Lead Data Engineer at Arcade, you will be a foundational member of our data platform team, responsible for designing and building the core data infrastructure to process billions of daily players, transactions and marketing events. These data models will enable real-time game analytics, LiveOps, user acquisition, and experimentation which is scalable across multiple games.This is a hands-on role with high ownership, where you’ll work in a fast-moving environment and make architectural decisions that directly impact how Arcade scales as a publisher.Your missions will be the following:Data Pipeline Development: Designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load in-game, user, and marketing data.Data Modeling & Architecture: Creating robust data models and schemas optimized for analytics, BI, and AI-driven insights across multiple games.Cloud Platform Management: Designing and operating cloud data platforms (currently centered on GCP, with flexibility to integrate other services as needed) to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost optimization.Data Quality & Monitoring: Monitoring system health, managing data validation, and ensuring high-quality data for BI dashboards (e.g. Looker, Tableau).Collaboration: Translate game developers, data scientists, and marketers requirements into scalable data systems and self-serve analytics.What We’re Looking For:Experience: 5-8 years in data engineering, or 3-5 years with strong ownership of production systems, preferably in gaming or high-volume environments.Programming Languages: Strong Python and SQL skills.Big Data Technologies: Experience with events-driven data processing (Spark, Hadoop, and streaming technologies like Kafka).Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with one of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.Domain Knowledge: Understanding of mobile gaming or consumer app metrics (ARPU, LTV, Retention, UA analytics).What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)Reliable ingestion of game, UA, and monetization data with clear ownership.Analytics-ready datasets used by product and LiveOps teams.Clear data quality checks and monitoring in place.Improved speed and confidence in decision-making across teams.Why Join ArcadeOpportunity to build a data platform from the ground upDirect impact on how games are launched, scaled, and monetizedFast-paced, entrepreneurial culture with real ownershipBacked by AI.Tech and ’s scale and engineering rigorOur Culture - Who we are :Arcade is a global team of passionate gamers, creators, and data-driven thinkers shaping the future of mobile entertainment.
