KIE offers a high-performance environment that values intellectual rigor, innovation, and collaboration across research, markets, and technology.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FIX Client Onboarding Engineer to join our Institutional Equities technology team. The successful candidate will play a key role in onboarding institutional clients to our electronic and algorithmic trading platforms, ensuring seamless integration via FIX protocol and internal connectivity solutions such as UL Link. This role requires strong technical expertise in trading systems, Java technologies, and modern CI/CD practices.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport FIX client onboarding for institutional equities trading, including configuration, testing, certification, and production rollout.Implement and support connectivity using UL Link and FIX protocol for electronic and algorithmic trading systems.Work closely with clients, trading desks, product teams, and vendors to ensure smooth onboarding and integration.Troubleshoot connectivity, order flow, and execution issues across electronic and algorithmic trading platforms.Develop and enhance onboarding tools, automation, and integration components using Java.Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain systems using CI/CD pipelines.Participate in release management, testing, and deployment activities.Monitor system performance, stability, and client connectivity, and proactively resolve issues.Maintain onboarding documentation, integration guides, and operational procedures.Support production systems and provide timely incident resolution.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with FIX Protocol (4.2 / 4.4 ) and FIX client onboarding.Experience with UL Link connectivity and integration.Solid experience in Electronic Trading and Algorithmic Trading systems, preferably in institutional equities.Strong programming skills in Java, including:Core JavaMultithreadingNetwork programmingDebugging and performance tuningExperience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, such as:Jenkins / GitLab CI / GitHub ActionsMaven / GradleVersion control systems (Git)Experience troubleshooting production trading environments.Preferred Technical SkillsExperience with FIX engines such as: Ullink, QuickFIX/J, Fidessa, FlexTrade.Knowledge of: Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS).Market connectivity and exchange protocolsExperience with Linux/Unix environments.Familiarity with scripting (Shell, Python).Knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, etc.).Domain Knowledge RequirementsStrong understanding of : Institutional Equities trading workflows, Electronic trading lifecycle, Algorithmic trading flows, Order routing, execution, and post-trade flows.Experience onboarding institutional clients such as asset managers, hedge funds, and broker-dealers.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Typically, 3–7 years of relevant experience in electronic trading or capital markets technology.Key CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholdersAbility to work in fast-paced trading environment.Strong ownership and accountability mindset
