Role OverviewThe Training Manager Retail will be responsible for leading and managing Regional Trainers across multiple locations to ensure consistent training delivery, capability building, and performance improvement across The Sleep Companys retail stores. This role focuses on driving product knowledge, sales excellence, customer experience, and retail operations training to enhance store performance and brand standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and manage Regional Retail Trainers across assigned regions.Design and implement structured training programs for retail store teams, including onboarding, refresher training, and capability development.Ensure consistent training standards and execution across all retail locations.Collaborate with Retail Operations, Sales, HR, and Product teams to identify training needs and skill gaps.Develop training content covering product knowledge, sales techniques, customer experience, SOPs, and store operations.Monitor training effectiveness through store performance metrics, mystery audits, and feedback mechanisms.Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to enhance trainer capability and delivery quality.Support new store launches with training plans and on-ground readiness.Track training KPIs, maintain training dashboards, and share performance insights with leadership.Drive a strong learning culture aligned with The Sleep Company’s retail growth strategy.Key Requirements8–10+ years of experience in retail training, L&D, or capability development roles.Prior experience managing Regional Trainers or multi-location training teams.Strong understanding of retail sales processes, customer experience, and store operations.Experience in consumer retail, furniture, mattress, lifestyle, or similar industries preferred.Excellent facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.Willingness to travel frequently across regions.
