This role blends deep Oracle DBA expertise with software engineering and automation, supporting a modern DBaaS platform operating at scale.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automation for Oracle database provisioning, cloning, backup, recovery, and lifecycle managementDevelop and maintain Oracle automation plugins using Python, Bash, and Jinja2Automate RMAN backup/restore, DBCA operations, Data Guard configuration, and DBA workflowsBuild and enhance automation for Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB) lifecycle operationsImplement and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and HA/DR architecturesOptimize RMAN strategies including incremental, snapshot-based backups, and PITRIntegrate Oracle automation with orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Argo Workflows)Diagnose and resolve performance, memory (SGA/PGA/HugePages), and storage issuesImplement SSL/TLS, Oracle Wallet, TDE, and network encryptionWrite unit and integration tests for automation scriptsCreate technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guidesStay current with Oracle releases, patches, and best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience6+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in production environmentsStrong expertise in Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21cDeep knowledge of RMAN backup & recovery, duplication, and PITRStrong experience with Oracle Data Guard (physical/logical), switchover & failoverHands-on experience with Oracle RACProficiency in Python and Bash scriptingStrong Linux/Unix administration skills (RHEL, OEL, Ubuntu)Experience with Oracle networking (Listener, TNS, TCPS/SSL)Knowledge of Oracle TDE, Wallets, and encryptionExperience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Strong troubleshooting skills for ORA errors, performance, and storage issuesExcellent communication and cross-team collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Oracle on Cloud (AWS RDS, Azure Database, OCI)Exposure to Docker and KubernetesExperience with Terraform, Ansible, or IaC toolsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesOracle certifications (OCP / OCM) are a plusExposure to Oracle Exadata or Exadata Cloud ServiceWhat You’ll Work OnRMAN-based backup & restore automationOracle database cloning and refresh workflowsPDB lifecycle automation (create, clone, refresh, drop)Data Guard HA/DR automationDatabase provisioning templates and parameterizationPerformance tuning and troubleshooting utilitiesIntegration with cloud storage (S3, Azure Blob, GCS)Why Join UsWork on a cutting-edge DBaaS platform managing Oracle databases at scaleCombine DBA expertise with software engineering and automationHigh-energy, collaborative environment focused on innovationStrong opportunities for career growth and ownershipFlexible, inclusive culture where your ideas directly shape the product
