Job Title: Role: Global SME – CV Joint Design (Halfshafts)Location: Nexteer Technical Center, Bengaluru (India)RoleNexteer Automotive is seeking to engage a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Constant Velocity Joint (CVJ) design to support and strengthen our core driveline design capability for passenger car halfshafts. This opportunity is ideal for highly experienced professionals (including retired / superannuated experts) who are interested in contributing deep technical expertise through mentoring, guidance, and hands‑on technical support.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnd‑to‑end CVJ design & development experience (requirements → concept → validation → SOP)Strong fundamentals in CV joint types (e.g. OBJ & IBJ) durability, materials, lubrication/tribology, and manufacturabilityExperience in design standards, design reviews, and technical problem‑solving in production programs.Role scopeMentor and guide driveline engineers to build lasting CVJ design competencySupport development of design methods, guidelines, and best practicesProvide hands‑on technical reviews and support for program executionBackground Experience Required: Experience in global driveline organizations At least 3 – 5 CV joint product releases Technical understanding of vehicle driveline systems.Engagement modelFlexible engagement: part‑time / contract / advisoryGlobal candidates are also encouraged to apply; hybrid/remote options may be considered based on the engagement needs
