Role overview (one-line)Experienced Electrical Draftsman for MEP consultancy — responsible for producing accurate, construction-ready electrical drawings, coordination (MEP/architectural/structural), and drawing deliverables for tender, construction and handover stages.Key responsibilitiesProduce and deliver accurate 2D electrical drawings (GA drawings, lighting layouts, power layouts, earthing, equipment & panel layouts, riser/vertical diagrams, cable routing/trays) for tender and construction packages.Prepare and update Single Line Diagrams (SLD), load schedules, DB schedules, panel schedules and cable schedules as per consultant standards.Create construction/co-ordination drawings for review with clients, architects, structural and other MEP consultants (clash-free coordination drawings).Convert consultant design outputs into detailed shop/installation drawings suitable for site execution (while keeping the design intent intact).Work with Lead Engineers to incorporate design changes, markups and RFIs into drawings quickly and accurately.Support simple calculation outputs (illumination layouts, basic load calculations, cable sizing inputs prepared by engineer) and reflect results on drawings.Produce and maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and PDF/ CAD packages for issue (tender / IFC / construction).Ensure drawings meet project standards, local codes, and client/ consultant CAD/BIM standards.Liaise with procurement/stores for drawing-based BOQ inputs and equipment schedules.Assist in preparing presentation drawings, client submissions and IFC packs.Participate in periodic coordination/BIM meetings and incorporate coordination outcomes into drawings.Must-have (non-negotiable)Worked only in MEP / engineering consultancy firms (no contracting/execution/maintenance experience).3+ years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in a consultant environment; 5+ years preferred for Senior Draftsman.Strong, demonstrable portfolio of consultant-level deliverables: SLDs, tender/construction GA, lighting & power layouts, earthing drawings, panel & DB schedules.Expert in AutoCAD (2D) — producing clean, layer-organized, annotation-accurate drawings.Good working knowledge of Revit MEP or exposure to BIM workflows (preferred for senior roles).Comfortable with Navisworks or other coordination tools (preferred).Familiarity with electrical design intent documents, basic load schedules and typical MEP coordination rules.Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics or relevant drafting certification.Strong communication skills — able to take technical direction from engineers and translate into drawings quickly.Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple drawing sheets / revisions.Nice-to-haveExperience producing drawings for commercial, retail, residential high-rise, or interior fit-out projects handled by consultants.Prior exposure to Indian electrical codes & standards, and common client CAD standards.Experience in preparing IFC/tender packages and coordinating with external consultants/clients.Deliverables & documentation you’ll ownTender and construction drawing packages (DWG + PDF) with revision control.SLDs, load schedules, DB/panel schedules, equipment & cable schedules.Coordination (clash-free) drawings and updated IFC packages.Drawing register and issue logs for each project phase.Contact- 8595401369
