Internationally, the Group carries out projects in more than 100 countries and has offices in 40 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.ABOUT JOB:As the Director of Project Controls & Scheduling, you will hold strategic and executive responsibility for the establishment, governance, and integrity of the project schedule for a landmark $Billion+ greenfield international smart airport (100 MAP). You will lead all planning, scheduling, risk analysis, and progress reporting functions, ensuring alignment with project objectives while providing critical decision-support to senior leadership and stakeholders.Location: Bac Ninh Province - Ha Noi (mobility policy applied)JOB DESCRIPTION:Schedule Strategy & Baseline Ownership: Lead the development, validation, and approval of the project's Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Primavera P6, establishing the official project baseline and governing all subsequent updates.Performance & Controls Governance: Define and oversee the project controls framework, including earned value management (EVM), change management, and forecast analysis. Ensure early warning of delays and drive corrective action.Executive Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and present high-level progress dashboards, trend analyses, and executive summaries to the Project Board and senior management, translating complex schedule data into actionable insights.Risk & Critical Path Management: Lead regular schedule risk analysis (SRA) and critical path method (CPM) reviews. Formulate mitigation strategies and scenario plans to safeguard project completion milestones.Process Leadership & Team Development: Establish and enforce scheduling standards, methodologies (including rolling 4-week look-ahead cycles), and best practices. Mentor and lead a team of senior planners/schedulers.Stakeholder & Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of schedules from all contractors, packages, and disciplines into a single, coherent IMS. Act as the key authority on schedule matters in client and stakeholder meetings.QUALIFICATIONS:Leadership Experience: Minimum 12-15 years in project controls and scheduling, with at least 8 years in a Senior Manager or Director-level role on large-scale infrastructure projects ($1B+ value).Relevant Project Experience: Proven track record of personally directing the baseline development and full lifecycle schedule management for at least one international greenfield airport or comparable mega-project (e.g., major seaport, metro system, complex transportation hub).Technical Mastery:Expert-level proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 (minimum 8-10 years of hands-on use).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including complex formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, dashboard creation, and VBA/macros).Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.Strategic & Communication Skills:Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting abilities.Outstanding English communication skills, with expertise in crafting executive-level reports and delivering persuasive presentations to senior management.Strong negotiation, influencing, and leadership presence.Preferred Qualifications:Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.Experience working within joint venture (JV) and international EPC/EPCM environments.In-depth understanding of major contract forms (e.g., FIDIC) and their implications on scheduling and claims.
