The Product Engineering Manager will lead the product engineering function for power and high‑power semiconductor devices, with a strong focus on device characterization, qualification, release‑to‑production, and yield optimization. This role requires deep expertise in power semiconductor technology and hands‑on experience managing qualification programs for high‑voltage/high‑current devices. The manager will collaborate closely with technology, design, reliability, quality, and operations teams to ensure robust, reliable products that meet global standards and customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Qualification & CharacterizationOwn the qualification strategy, planning, and execution for power and high‑power semiconductor devices.Lead characterization of new product performance before manufacturing release, including electrical, thermal, and reliability assessments Ensure compliance with global standards (e.g., JEDEC, IEC, IEEE) and customer‑specific qualification requirementsManage RMA / field return analysis in collaboration with quality and reliability teamsProduct Engineering LeadershipLead and mentor the product engineering team focused on power semiconductor device lifecycle activities, including NPI, qualification, ramp‑up, and sustenanceDevelop and maintain engineering databases, test flows, and documentation frameworksOversee wafer sort and final test data disposition, yield enhancement initiatives, and statistical process control implementation.Cross‑Functional CollaborationCollaborate with device design, technology development, packaging, and manufacturing to ensure seamless release into productionAct as technical liaison between engineering, operations, quality, and customer engineering teams.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth transition from engineering builds to volume manufacturingReliability & Failure AnalysisWork with reliability teams to define, execute, and review reliability stress tests (HTRB, H3TRB, TC, HTOL, power cycling).Drive root‑cause investigations for failures during qualification or production using FA labs, DOE methodologies, and Six Sigma‑aligned practicesContinuous ImprovementImplement data‑driven methods to optimize yield, improve device robustness, and reduce cost.Monitor product performance trends and drive corrective/improvement actions.Evaluate new tools, methodologies, and workflows to strengthen the product engineering function.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Device Physics, or related fields.Minimum 8–12 years experience in power semiconductor product engineering, including device characterization, qualification, and release‑to‑productionKnowledge of power semiconductor device physicsProven experience in device qualification methodologies, reliability standards, and statistical analysis of power semiconductor performanceHands‑on experience with test methodologies, power electronics measurements, and debugging of high‑power devices.Preferred SkillsExperience working with wide‑bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) Familiarity with yield enhancement and Six‑Sigma‑based problem solving Experience with wafer fabrication, packaging processes, and final test flows for power devices. Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, reliability physics of failure, and qualification road‑mapping.
