The role involves implementing security policies, procedures, and systems to protect physical and intellectual assets and prevent losses across the campus.Key Responsibilities1. Command & Control of Security OperationsOverall in-charge of security operations during the assigned shiftManage guards, supervisors, CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and patrol teamsEnsure optimum deployment of security manpower across locationsRegulate security operations from the Security Operations Centre2. Incident & Emergency ManagementAct as first responder for incidents such as thefts, fire alarms, medical emergencies, intrusions, or suspicious activitiesTake immediate corrective actions and escalate appropriatelyCoordinate firefighting, evacuation, and crowd control with Facilities, EHS, Admin, HR, and fire teamsInvestigate incidents and liaise with police authorities when required3. Access Control & Perimeter SecurityControl entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materialsManage gates, visitor management systems, vendor and material movement, parking, and trafficMaintain discipline and a strong security interface across the premises4. CCTV, Surveillance & Security TechnologyLive monitoring of CCTV and surveillance systemsPreserve recordings and maintain evidence during incident.Ensure maintenance and upgradation of security equipmentApply security automation and audit knowledge to identify risks5. SOPs, Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to all security SOPs and policiesEnforce fire safety rules, ID badge protocols, parking norms, and statutory requirementsAssist in risk assessments and implementation of mitigation measuresIdentify security gaps and drive improvements6. Reporting, Documentation & Shift HandoverMaintain daily shift logs, incident reports, patrol records, and attendanceDocument incidents accurately with supporting evidenceEnsure smooth and structured shift handovers7. People Management & TrainingLead and manage large security teams (50–200+ personnel)Ensure training, readiness, and discipline of security staffDeploy the right personnel at the right locations for optimal coverage8. Intelligence, Vigilance & External LiaisonDevelop intelligence and vigilance mechanismsMaintain liaison with government, police, and intelligence agenciesSupport investigations and vigilance activities9.
