Job Description

About the function: Results and Market Development (RMD) represent the circulation arm of the organisation. The RMD department also focuses on generating sales and increasing readership for BCCL publications. The function begins from mail room packing and dispatch right up to delivering the newspaper to the reader. It is responsible for enabling more and better audience aggregation and for driving newer revenue streams from reader engagement. This is done by reaching out to different segments and expanding the horizons onto new ventures. Role Overview:The incumbent will serve as a strategic support resource responsible for ensuring seamless administrative coordination, SAP IO and system management, insightful business analysis, and professional-grade presentations. Key Responsibilities:1. Business Support (20%)Calendar and meeting coordination, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow-ups.Managing email correspondence, travel plans, and logistical arrangements.Handling confidential documents and executive-level coordination with internal and external stakeholders.Acting as a gatekeeper to streamline information flow.2. SAP & IO Management (20%)Responsible for initiating and managing Internal Orders (IOs) in SAP in coordination with finance, procurement, and vendor management teams.Ensure timely creation, validation, and closure of IOs in compliance with internal audit requirements.Coordinate with zonal and corporate teams for resolving SAP-related issues.3. Presentations & Business Communication (30%)Drafting, designing, and refining impactful PowerPoint presentations for internal reviews, leadership meetings, and external forums.Translating data and business updates into structured and visually compelling narratives.Maintaining and updating performance dashboards, zone-wise decks, and quarterly reviews.Ensuring brand alignment, clarity, and precision in all communication materials.4. Business & Market Analysis (30%)Supporting strategic decision-making by compiling and interpreting data from multiple sources (circulation, subscriptions, PO trends, MIS).Preparing insightful reports with actionable recommendations.Conducting ad hoc analysis to support ongoing projects and leadership queries.Working closely with cross-functional teams to gather market intelligence and support new initiatives.Key Competencies Required:Analytical Acumen: Strong ability to derive insights from data and trends.Tech Proficiency: Working knowledge of SAP (IO Module), Microsoft Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, Charts), and PowerPoint.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for executive-level presentations.Confidentiality & Professionalism: Demonstrates maturity, discretion, and reliability in handling sensitive information.Multitasking & Ownership: Ability to juggle multiple deliverables with a sense of ownership and urgency.Preferred Qualifications:Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration / Commerce / Analytics2–5 years of relevant experience in a support-cum-analytical rolePrior exposure to SAP, business analytics, or executive support roles is desirable
