The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of motor assembly processes, stator winding, rotor assembly, controller integration, and end-of-line testing specific to EV applications.The role involves managing shop floor production, ensuring process optimization, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in EV motor manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:Oversee complete BLDC motor production lifecycle, including stator, rotor, shaft assembly, and final motor assemblySupervise stator winding processes (manual/automatic winding machines) and insulation processesMonitor magnet insertion, rotor balancing, and precision assemblyEnsure proper controller integration and Hall sensor alignmentConduct and supervise motor testingNo-load & load testingBack EMF testingTorque & efficiency testingInsulation resistance & high-voltage testingTroubleshoot production and performance issues in motorsEnsure compliance with EV performance standards and quality benchmarksImplement lean manufacturing practices to improve productivity and reduce rejection ratesMaintain production documentation, SOPs, and process sheetsCoordinate with R&D and Quality teams for design improvements and failure analysisEnsure adherence to safety standards and manufacturing protocolsTechnical Skills Required:Strong understanding of BLDC motor working principlesKnowledge of motor components: stator core, copper winding, permanent magnets, rotor, shaft, bearingsExperience in EV hub motors or mid-drive motorsFamiliarity with motor testing equipment and performance analysisUnderstanding of motor controllers, FOC principlesKnowledge of GD&T and basic mechanical tolerancesExposure to quality tools: Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPAUnderstanding of ISO / automotive quality standards Educational Qualification:Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Production EngineeringPreferred Candidate Profile:Experience in EV manufacturing setupStrong shop floor leadership capabilityProblem-solving mindset with technical depthAbility to handle production teams and achieve daily output targets
