Role PurposeThe Retail Banking SME drives innovation and optimization across retail banking products and services. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, design solutions with business goals and regulatory standards. SME expertise spans Retail Deposit, Lending, CASA, Core Banking, and Channels, with a focus on customer-centric transformation.Key ResponsibilitiesExpertly maps and optimizes end-to-end customer journeys, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and customer expectations.Collaborate with sales and solution teams to support RFI, RFP responses.Supports teams with deep domain knowledge, proven methodologies, and advanced tools to accelerate delivery and innovation.Leads the creation of Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks with precision, ensuring clarity, traceability, and business value.Plays a key role in sprint ceremonies, including planning and reviews, ensuring alignment with business goals and team velocity.Collaborates seamlessly with marketing, UX, and cross-functional teams to co-create impactful solutions that enhance customer experience.Identifies and implements opportunities to improve compliance efficiency, while elevating customer satisfaction and delight.Strategically maximizes business value by aligning initiatives with measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.Facilitates high-impact workshops on requirements gathering, solution design, and process optimization for retail banking transformation.Acts as a reliable team player, contributing to collective success through shared goals and mutual support.Guide and mentor analyst team enabling skill enhancement & career growth through coaching and development plans.Contribute to enterprise knowledge by creating Thought leadership collaterals such as white papers, blogs, case studies that reflect industry trends, innovations and best practices in FS.Conduct training sessions and workshops on banking domain, regulatory framework and emerging trends.Skills & Experience RequiredOver 15 years of demonstrated expertise in retail banking service lines.Possess in-depth understanding of multiple asset and liability products, including Mortgage Loans, Deposits, CASA, Cards, and Channels, enabling tailored solutions., mobile apps.Well-versed in end-to-end business processes and operational flows across retail banking products, ensuring seamless execution and optimization.Led digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, modernization, and system integration, delivering measurable business impact.Experienced in Scaled Agile (SAFe) and hybrid models, actively contributing to ceremonies and driving agile delivery excellence.Possess expert knowledge of regulatory changes, with the ability to assess their impact on business operations and compliance.Possess working knowledge of UK/EU retail banking markets.Skilled in communicating effectively across stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable insights.Expert in stakeholder management, with the ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration across teams and functions.Embodies a customer-first, empathetic approach to designing and delivering experience-driven solutions.Authored collateral supporting design thinking, transparency, traceability, and knowledge sharing. Tools/Platform SkillsDemonstrated thought leadership in platforms such as Thought Machine, Temenos, Loan IQ, Solifi and ACBS by aligning them with complex banking operations and strategic objectives.Ability to leverage tools such as Jira, Visio, and Confluence to drive cross-functional collaboration and planning.Ability to visualize and design transformative customer journeys using tools like Visio, Miro & others.
