The role focuses on delivering detailed mapping specifications and applying modern Medallion Architecture principles on Azure & Snowflake as part of a healthcare enterprise data modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business SME’s, engineering and analytics teams to ensure scalable, high quality, compliant data structures supporting clinical, operational, and financial use cases. • Design and maintain robust models for healthcare domains such as claims, remittances, eligibility, provider, member, and clinical events. • Build normalized structures for operational workloads and dimensional/star schemas for analytics and reporting. • Apply Medallion Architecture patterns across Bronze / Silver / Gold layers on Azure + Snowflake. • Create detailed mapping specifications and canonical data structures by consolidating and standardizing data from clinical systems, billing platforms, and payer sources into a unified Snowflake platform that enables real‑time clinical, operational, and financial insights across the organization. • Define healthcare data standards, naming conventions, metadata requirements, and reusable modeling patterns across domains. • Collaborate with engineering teams to align models with ingestion and transformation pipelines built using Azure Data Factory (ADF). • Design high performance schemas residing in Snowflake and stored in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). • Support data ingestion, ELT orchestration, and incremental loads using ADF pipelines. • Ensure optimal storage, partitioning strategies, micro partition efficiency, and performance tuning within Snowflake. • Conduct discovery sessions and partner with business SMEs across RCM, ACO/Value‑Based Care, Clinical Operations, and Quality to understand Source systems, Business processes KPI/metric expectations and reporting needs • Translate business context into model designs (entities, relationships, conformed dimensions, metric definitions).• Validate mappings and business rules with SMEs to ensure data structures reflect real workflows and decisioning needs. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, including PHI masking, minimum necessary exposure, and secure access patterns across Azure + Snowflake. • Work with governance teams to maintain glossary terms, FHIR/HL7 metadata definitions, and consistent semantic structures.• Partner with ETL/ELT developers, data engineers, BI teams, architects, and SMEs to ensure end to end alignment between business rules and data structures. • Review downstream usage impacts, including Power BI semantic models and analytical datasets. • Provide modeling guidance, documentation, and mentorship to junior modelers and engineering teams. Experience: -12 - 20 YearsLocation: -MumbaiPuneBangaloreChennaiEducational Qualifications: -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Biomedical Engineering or a related field .Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.Skills: -Mandatory Technical Skills: -Azure: ADLS, ADF, Azure Functions (optional), Azure DevOps Snowflake: Warehouses, schemas, micro-partitioning, Snowflake SQL, Secure Views Modeling Tools: ERwin, SQL Developer Data Modeler, ER/Studio Healthcare Standards: EDI X12, HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4 BI: Power BI Workshift – StarlightData Modeling, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical field 8+ years of hands on data modeling experience across conceptual, logical, and physical layers.3+ project experience on cloud modernization programs on Azure, AWS, or GCP, designing unified and scalable data models Strong knowledge of US healthcare datasets: claims, RCM, eligibility, provider, member, encounters, remittance.Proven experience creating mapping specifications for EDI / HL7 / FHIR conversions. Strong SQL skills; expertise in normalization, dimensional modeling (Kimball), and canonical modeling. Experience designing data models for Snowflake with ADLS as the storage layer and ADF for orchestration.Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and modern data lake/lakehouse patterns. Understanding of healthcare compliance–related modeling (PHI/PII, HIPAA).Experience gathering source-system understanding from business SMEs and translating healthcare workflows into scalable data models. Nice-to-Have Experience validating or supporting Power BI semantic models and datasets.Exposure to data quality frameworks (DQ rules, profiling, business rule validation).Experience with metadata management tooling (Purview or similar).
