Job Description

We are hiring for one of our client-StartupAbout the roleWe’re looking for individuals in India who are eager to collaborate, contributing to a diverse portfolio of high-impact research initiatives. Our researchers test and build models, grow strategies, and write the systems that turn ideas into action. This could mean anything from building machine learning models to predict asset prices, to mining public data sets to understand emerging consumer trends, to quantifying urban development patterns in global real estate. The problems we tackle rarely have clear answers, which is why we value originality, experimentation, and a deep understanding of data. What You’ll Do:●Analyze diverse datasets—from market microstructure and macroeconomic indicators to social media sentiment, satellite imagery, real estate transactions, and behavioural data.●Develop predictive models and frameworks using tools from statistics, machine learning, econometrics, and beyond.●Design, implement, and refine algorithms and strategies across domains like finance, AI applications, and social behaviour modelling.●Write production-quality code to integrate research into live systems.●Collaborate closely with our team in the US, sharing insights, challenging assumptions, and refining ideas together.Areas of Research May Include:●Financial Markets: Strategy development, pricing models, portfolio optimization, market impact analysis.●Alternative Data: Extracting insights from non-traditional sources—news, satellite imagery, traffic data, ESG disclosures, social platforms.●Artificial Intelligence: Applying ML/AI techniques to trading, prediction, optimization, and behaviour analysis.●Social Patterns: Modelling and forecasting consumer behaviour, network effects, or political and cultural dynamics using large-scale data.●Real Estate and Urban Data: Quantifying development trends, migration patterns, economic signals, and valuation models using public and proprietary data. What We're Looking For●Strong analytical and mathematical thinking—comfortable working with ambiguity and complexity.●Proficiency in coding and data analysis; experience with Python, KDB/Q, or functional programming is a plus.●Curiosity to explore questions others may overlook, and a sharp eye for uncovering signal in noise.●Excellent communication skills, especially in remote, cross-time-zone collaborations.●An appetite for interdisciplinary work, and the humility to learn from others across domains.
