Job Title

We are looking for an experienced Drill & Blasting Manager to lead drilling operations and blasting productivity for large-scale open cast mining projects in the Odisha iron ore / coal belt (Koira–Barbil–Sundargarh region).The role requires strong field expertise, production understanding, and safety compliance with the ability to manage drill teams, explosives handling, and daily output targets.Key Responsibilities- Planning and execution of daily drilling & blasting programs as per production targets - Supervision of DTH/rotary drills and drilling contractors - Burden–spacing design, blast pattern optimization, and fragmentation control - Coordination with excavation & dispatch teams to avoid production stoppages - Compliance with DGMS explosive rules, safety standards & statutory records - Monitoring drilling meters, consumptions, productivity & downtime analysis - Coordination with magazine keeper, explosive supplier & blasting crew - Handling misfires, vibration control & nearby structure safety - Maintaining drilling logs, blasting reports & shift MIS - Training drill operators and improving productivity per machineMandatory Qualifications- Diploma / B.Tech in Mining Engineering OR Mining Mate / Blaster Certificate - Valid DGMS Blaster Certificate (Mandatory) - Experience in open cast iron ore or coal minesExperience Required- 7–15 years in drilling & blasting operations - Experience handling multiple drills (DTH / 115mm–165mm / 6”–9” class) - Exposure to surface miner / excavator integrated mining preferredDesired Skills- Blast design & fragmentation control - Explosive consumption optimization - Leadership of shift teams - Practical field troubleshooting - Production-oriented mindsetLocationOdisha – Koira / Barbil / Sundargarh BeltCompensationBest in industry (based on experience & output capability)
