Job SummaryThe Controller of Examinations (COE) is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all examination-related activities of the Autonomous Institution, ensuring transparency, confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with UGC, AICTE, and University norms.Key Roles & Responsibilities- Plan and conduct End Semester, Supplementary, Internal, and Special examinations for UG & PG programs - Prepare academic calendars related to examinations in coordination with academic departments - Frame, revise, and implement examination regulations as per Autonomous guidelines - Oversee question paper setting, moderation, printing, security, and confidential handling - Ensure smooth conduct of examinations including seating plans, invigilation, and exam discipline - Monitor evaluation process, answer script distribution, valuation, revaluation, and scrutiny - Publish results within stipulated timelines and ensure accuracy of grades and credits - Maintain student academic records, grade sheets, transcripts, and degree-related data - Coordinate with University, UGC, AICTE, and other statutory bodies for examination compliance - Handle grievances related to examinations and ensure timely resolution - Supervise Examination Cell staff and ensure effective workflow and accountability - Implement digital examination systems, automation, and process improvements - Ensure strict confidentiality, integrity, and fairness in all examination processesEligibility & Qualifications- Ph.D. / Postgraduate degree in Engineering / Technology / Science with relevant experience - Minimum 10–15 years of academic experience, with exposure to examination administration - Prior experience as COE / Deputy COE in an Autonomous Engineering College preferred - Strong knowledge of Autonomous examination systemsKey Skills & Competencies- Strong leadership and coordination skills - High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail - Excellent organizational and documentation abilities - Proficiency in examination software, ERP systems, and MS Office tools - Ability to work under strict deadlines and academic schedules - Sound understanding of UGC, AICTE, and University regulationsAdditional Responsibilities- Commitment to institutional growth and academic excellence - Willingness to adapt to digital transformation in examination processes - Ability to handle pressure during peak examination periods
