Role Name - Plant In-charge – BESSGrade/Band & Designation M1Role SummaryResponsible for end-to-end BESS plant maintenance and co-ordination with CCR for plant operation. Ensures safe operation, regulatory compliance, equipment availability, and effective execution of maintenance activities. Leads the on-site team and coordinates with regional and support functions.Reporting Manager - Zonal Head – BESSOther Work Relations Engineering, Projects, Operations, HSE, SCM, Regulatory, Site Teams, External Auditors, Certification BodiesKey Responsibilities- End-to-end maintenance of the BESS plant, including planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for battery containers/racks, PCS, inverters, transformers, switchgear, EMS/SCADA interfaces, fire protection systems, HVAC, and balance-of-plant systems. - The role ensures adherence to OEM-recommended maintenance practices, safety procedures, and statutory requirements; supervises and deploys maintenance engineers and technicians. - Managing critical spares and AMCs; coordinates with OEMs and vendors for troubleshooting, warranty claims, and defect rectification. - Conducts root cause analysis for failures and degradation; maintains maintenance records, logs, and compliance documentation; supports audits and inspections. - Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, safety, availability, and battery life.Travel Requirements - Few occasions for business meeting and to other plantsBase Location - RajasthanEducation & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution is mandatory. - 8–10 years of experience in operation and maintenance of thermal power plants and EHV substations, including at least 2–3 years of experience in BESS operations and maintenence. - Expertise in SS equipment Testing, Relay operation, SCADA and protection.Desirable ExperienceExposure to Project Execution, Knowledge on Quality Management System.
