What We’re Looking ForFamiliarity with SIS platforms, EdTech integrations, FERPA compliance, student data systems, or school network environments is highly valued Required: Experience working with U.S. public or private education schools (K–12 or higher ed) Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with executive leadership, IT teams, and vendors 10+ years of progressive experience in software architecture and enterprise systems design on EdTech platforms Proven experience designing scalable, secure, and high-availability systems Strong background in cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Expertise in API design, system integrations, and data architecture Experience modernizing legacy systems Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices Scope of WorkArchitect and design scalable system frameworks Evaluate and improve existing technology infrastructure Develop integration strategies across multiple systems Ensure compliance, data security, and performance optimization Guide platform modernization initiatives Provide strategic technical advisement to leadership Engagement DetailsContract / Freelance (project-based) Remote with occasional strategic planning sessions We are looking for a forward-thinking architect who understands both technology and the mission-driven nature of education institutions.
