This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to leave their mark on some of the most exciting projects in the India and further afield.Your next roleThe role of a Principal Mechanical Engineer can be very varied, duties will include but are not limited to:Lead the mechanical team and take a project leadership role as required;Communicating directly with Clients, offering innovative design solutions and managing expectations. Further developing relationships with existing and new clients including contractors, architects and developers.Managing workload of engineers and techniciansDetailed design drawings with a specialisation in mechanical design - e.g. HVAC, PHE etc.Prepare technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work.Keep senior design team members informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the Buro Happold and the client are achieved.Manage project finances, monitor scope, and ensure qualityPlan and organise your workload to ensure that you are meeting clients expectations.Attending client, site and external design team meetings.Your skills and experience13+ years' experience in building services design engineering;Experience in HVAC or PHE Designing is a mustAbility to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organisation, combined with ability to work independently.Working knowledge and understanding of Indian standards.Broad building design knowledge, from working on a wide range of projects.Excel skills (a detailed understanding including the use of macros).Although mechanically biased it is expected that you will have a good understanding of electrical concepts and their impact upon the overall project. Ideally also showing an awareness of other key design team members such as architects, structural and civil engineers.Knowledge of AutoCAD, IES, and Hevacomp softwareBachelors degree or Masters degree in relevant subject.
