Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding to define correct manufacturing sequences.Prepare operation-wise process plans, routings, process drawings, and setup drawings.Define datums, stock allowance, surface finish requirements, and consider heat treatment and special processes.Apply fixture-first thinking and coordinate with tooling/fixture suppliers as required.Build quality into the process by identifying critical dimensions and defining in-process and final inspections.Use CAD tools for 2D drafting and accurate interpretation of 3D models with proper revision control.Incorporate shop-floor feedback, analyze rework, and continuously improve process plans.Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Design teams.Support audits, reviews, and customer requirements related to process documentation.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Draftsman or Junior Engineer in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault (mandatory).
