This role will ensure high‑quality, scalable, and secure implementations across microservices, event‑driven systems, AWS‑native services, AI/ML/data solutions, and enterprise search platforms. The Architect will collaborate with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and internal stakeholders to validate deliverables, translate business requirements into architecture changes, and enforce compliance with GeM’s standards. Post go‑live, the Architect will guide platform evolution, balancing cost efficiency, scalability, and governance while enabling intelligent, data‑driven capabilities at scale. The role will also ensure designs remain portable and adaptable to future cloudstrategies, contributing to the evaluation and guidance of potential cloud transitions (e.g.,hybrid or multi‑cloud adoption) tomaintain continuity, cost efficiency, and complianceROLE AND RESPONSIBILITYGovernance& OversightOversee MSP‑led solution design and development, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture, data governance, security, and regulatory standards.Establish architecture review and validation checkpoints for audit‑readiness and long‑term maintainability.Design Validation &StandardsUnderstand AI / ML related use case and business requirements by collaborating with GeM business teamsCollaborate with MSP to discuss and review the design w.r.t the business requirementReview and validate HLDs/LLDs across applications, data platforms, analytics, AI/ML systems, and search services for consistency and lifecycle alignment.Enforce Domain‑Driven Design, microservices, event‑driven/data‑centric design, and API/data governance best practices.Act as a technical thought leader in suggesting improvements to AI/ML models to improve accuracy and meet the desired business requirementsAct as a thought leader in suggesting improvements to Enterprise Search to improve the search results for better user experienceReview and validate indexing strategy and design prepared by the MSPEnsure/review robustness of the architecture such that the AI/ML models and enterprise search meet non-functional KPIs related to performance, availability and reliabilityData, AI/ML &Search Platform GovernanceGovern AI/ML pipelines, BI platforms, and data workflows (ingestion, ETL/ELT, feature engineering, training, inference, analytics).Oversee enterprise search architecture, including indexing pipelines, query processing, ranking algorithms, and semantic/AI‑driven search capabilities.Define standards for model lifecycle, monitoring, retraining, explainability, and search relevance to ensure responsible AI adoption and trusted search outcomes.Quality AssuranceConduct architecture assurance reviews, technical validations, and AI/ML/search assessments, covering explainability, bias, performance, and data quality.Ensure interoperability of services across microservices, APIs, and data products.Define the KPIs and Metrics to test the accuracy of AI / ML output and collaborate with MSP to enforce the reporting of required KPIs and metricsCloud Strategy & OptimizationGuide platform evolution post go‑live, balancing cost, scalability, and governance.Evaluate hybrid/multi‑cloud options to ensure portability, compliance, and continuity.Partner with finance and operations teams to monitor cloud spend and optimize resource utilization.Stakeholder AlignmentCollaborate with Product, Operations, Policy, and QA teams to align technical delivery with enterprise objectives.Act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into architecture roadmaps and strategies.Facilitate transparent communication between MSPs, internal teams, and governance bodies to ensure accountability and alignment.Any other responsibility as may be assigned from time to time.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS6+ years of experience in enterprise application, search, and AI / ML platform architecture, including architecture governance, design assurance, and delivery oversight in large-scale environments.Proven expertise in reviewing and validating HLD sand LLDs across application, data, analytics, and AI/ML solutions, ensuring end-to-end traceability, non- functional compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.Strong understanding of enterprise architecture patterns, system integration approaches, API and data standards, and platform interoperability, enabling scalable and sustainable digital and analytics platforms.Working knowledge of data platforms and BI ecosystems, including data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics and reporting layers, supporting enterprise-wide data-driven decision-making.Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders and delivery teams,providing structured design feedback, governance recommendations, risk escalations, and decision documentation to maintain delivery integrity.Hands-on experience creating and maintaining architecture and delivery governance artifacts, including design checklists, traceability matrices, compliance reports.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ComputerScience/Information Technology/any related field from a reputed university.GOOD TO HAVE SKILLSExperience with AI/ML platforms, advanced analytics, or decision-support systems, including exposure to model lifecycle governance, data quality management, and responsible AI practices.Familiarity with BI and enterprise analytics ecosystems, including dashboarding, reporting, KPI frameworks, and data visualization, supporting executive and operational decision-making.Knowledge of data governance and privacy principles applicable to enterprise- scale digital platforms.Exposure to AWS cloud services and data/AI ecosystems, including EKS, API Gateway, S3, RDS, Lambda, SNS/SQS, and managed analytics or ML services, for designing scalable and resilient enterprise solutions.Exposer to these services will be an added advantage Athena, Glue, EMR, Redshift, etc.Exposure to DevSecOps and MLOps practices, ensuring secure, compliant, and automated delivery pipelines for applications, data platforms, and AI/ML solutions
