This position is with one of our clients in India who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams.Title: SAP BDC ConsultantLocation: PAN India - HybridEmployment Type: Full-time PermanentRole:We are seeking a BTP Platform Developer/Architect to lead the operations team of SAP Business Data Cloud(BDC) .You will act as the bridge between the Development/Architecture teams and the Cloud Infrastructure teams, ensuring a seamless process.Responsibilities:1. Platform Management & AvailabilityTenant Ownership: Serve as the contact for the SAP Business Data Cloud tenants (Datasphere, SAC), ensuring 99.9% availability and optimal performance.Monitoring & Alerting: Implement proactive monitoring for data flows, task chains, and remote table replications. Detect and resolve connectivity issues between SAP (S/4HANA) and non-SAP sources before business impact.Capacity Planning: Monitor SAP BDC Service credits and compute usage (e.g., Datasphere Space management). optimize resource allocation to prevent overages while ensuring performance for peak reporting periods. 2. DataOps & Release EngineeringCI/CD Implementation: Move the organization away from manual changes. Design and manage the Transport Management pipelines for promoting data models, stories, and analytic applications across landscapes (Dev / Test / Prod).Lifecycle Management: Oversee system upgrades and release cycles for SAP public cloud services, assessing the impact of quarterly SAP updates on existing data models.Automation: Script routine administration tasks (user provisioning, space creation, connection validation) using the SAP BTP CLI or APIs to reduce manual toil. 3. Security & GovernanceAccess Control: Architect and maintain a robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model. Manage /"Spaces/" in Datasphere and /"Teams/" in SAC to ensure strict data segregation between Lines of Business.Compliance: Ensure the platform adheres to GDPR/SOX compliance standards, including audit logging of data access and changes. 4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementBuild a squad of Platform EngineersCoordinate with SAP Support (OSS) for high-priority incidents and influence product roadmaps based on operational needs.Collaborate with Data Architects to troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks and system issues.Required Skills:SAP BTP Expertise: 5+ years of experience managing SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services.Datasphere/SAC Knowledge: Deep hands-on experience administering SAP Datasphere (formerly DWC) and SAP Analytics Cloud.Integration Experience: Proven experience with SAP Cloud Connector, Live Data Connections, and replications flows from SAP S/4HANA or ECC.DataOps Mindset: Experience with transport mechanisms like SAP Cloud Transport Management Service (cTMS) or BTP CLI.Prefered Skills:Background in SAP Basis is a strong plus (understanding the on-premise side of the connection).Experience integrating SAP data with Hyperscalers (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, Google BigQuery).Knowledge of Python or BTP CLI for automation.Certification: SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP BTP System Administration or SAP Datasphere.
