Type: Full Time (Minimum 2-3 years Work Ex, 5+ Recommended) Location: Bangalore Compensation (CTC): INR 25-30L (Including ESOPs) Joining Date: March/April 2026About the RoleWe're building the optical highway to the cosmosJoin us as an Electrical Engineer to design high-speed electronics, precision power systems, laser driver circuits, and control electronics for multi-Gbps optical links. You'll work across high-speed digital systems, precision control loops, and ruggedized electronics for both ground stations and satellite payloads.ResponsibilitiesDesign laser driver circuits (pulsed/CW), photodetector amplifiers, TIA systems, and precision power electronics (DC-DC converters, ultra-low-noise LDOs, switching regulators)Design motor driver circuits and closed-loop servo control systems for sub-arcsecond beam steering and optical alignmentDesign high-speed PCBs (8-12+ layers) with signal integrity analysis, controlled impedance routing, and thermal managementDevelop multi-loop control systems (PID, state-space, Kalman filtering) for optical alignment and atmospheric compensationInterface optical components with motor controllers, FPGA systems, and power distribution networksDebug and test using oscilloscopes (>10 GHz), spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and eye diagram analysisLead integration with optical/mechanical subsystems and support field testingRequirementsB.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or ECE2-5+ years of hands-on experience with power electronics and control systemsPower electronics: buck/boost converters, H-bridges, laser drivers, precision current sourcesCircuit simulation: LTspice, PSpice, MultisimMotor control: FOC, BLDC, stepper drivers with high-resolution encoders (>20-bit)Control systems: Multi-loop PID, state-space controllers, Kalman filtering, stability analysisPCB design: Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad - multi-layer boards with signal/power integrity, EMI/EMCHigh-speed interfaces: SerDes (>10 Gbps), LVDS, CML, SPI, I2C, RS-422/485, CANTest equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generatorsProgramming: Python, C, C++, MATLAB/SimulinkHands-on soldering, debugging, and board bring-up skillsAbility to own an electronics subsystem end-to-end: design, build, test, deployNice-to-HaveFPGA development (Xilinx/Intel) and VHDL/VerilogSpace-qualified or defense-grade electronics (MIL-STD-810, DO-160)Precision positioning systems: piezo controllers, sub-nanometer resolutionPublished research or patents in relevant fieldsWhat We OfferOpportunity to build electronics for next-generation space optical communication from scratchWorld-class lab facilities and test equipmentSignificant equity ownership with early-stage upside potentialCollaborative IISc-affiliated research environmentDirect impact on quantum communication technologyHow to ApplySend your resume and a brief note about your interests to:
