Careers -LinkedIn -– SDE III – Backend Location:India (Remote) Function:Engineering – Product Engineering Reports to:Engineering Manager – Product Engineering About the Role We are looking for aSoftware Development Engineer IIIto join our Core Platform Team. This team is responsible for designing and scaling the foundational systems that power all our AI-driven products—from secure authentication and configuration engines to core services like logging, feature management, and real-time orchestration. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to buildmodular, high-performance backend systemsthat are critical to uptime, compliance, and scalability across the company. This is a hands-on role ideal for engineers looking to grow their impact while working on production infrastructure used by every product team.What You’ll Do Design and build high-availability, low-latency services powering AI-based voice and digital agents Contribute to the orchestration logic that handles tool invocation, conversational memory, session management, and multi-turn logic Integrate backend systems with AI components such as language models, speech pipelines, and structured data sources Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ML, product, compliance, and UX to deliver intelligent and trustworthy user experiences Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and system-wide scalability challenges Participate in design and architecture reviews, and mentor junior engineers across the team Uphold engineering excellence through strong documentation, testing, observability, and DevOps practicesWhat You’ll Bring 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, ideally working on real-time or user-facing platforms Strong backend programming skills like Java, Node.JS, or similar, with deep understanding of asynchronous programming and system design Proven experience building and scaling distributed services, APIs, and event-driven systems Familiarity with infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines Experience integrating services with data stores, message queues, and external APIs Bonus Points: Experience working on AI-enabled or ML-integrated platforms Understanding of compliance, security, and auditability requirements in regulated environments Prior experience working in fast-paced, high-growth product teamsWhy Join Us?
