Key Responsibilities1. Academic Planning & GovernanceAssist in preparation and execution of Academic Calendar.Coordinate Board of Studies (BoS) and Academic Council matters.Support implementation of NEP guidelines and UGC regulations.Ensure adherence to credit framework, CBCS/OBE systems.Monitor timely completion of syllabus and academic delivery plans.2. Curriculum Development & ReviewFacilitate curriculum revision workshops.Coordinate industry integration, interdisciplinary modules, value-added courses.Ensure learning outcomes (CO-PO mapping) are documented and reviewed.Maintain curriculum documentation for accreditation (NAAC/NBA).3. Faculty Academic Performance MonitoringTrack teaching load distribution.Monitor course file documentation and lesson plans.Review faculty academic contributions (publications, FDPs, research).Assist in faculty appraisal related to academic parameters.4. Examination & Academic Quality OversightCoordinate with Controller of Examinations for:Continuous Internal Assessment complianceQuestion paper quality reviewModeration and result timelinesMonitor evaluation quality and transparency.Support academic audit processes.5. Accreditation & ComplianceMaintain academic documentation for NAAC/NBA/NIRF.Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE, PCI, BCI or other statutory bodies (as applicable).Support data submission for AISHE, ranking frameworks, etc.6. Student Academic SupportMonitor academic progress of students.Oversee remedial classes and bridge courses.Address academic grievances.Support mentoring systems.7. Digital Academic SystemsEnsure effective use of LMS.Monitor online class delivery compliance (if applicable).Maintain academic MIS reports and dashboards.8.
