Our projects span commercial, industrial, hospitality, institutional, and public-sector sites across India and international markets.Projects at Akvo are multi-disciplinary by nature—involving mechanical systems, electrical & power infrastructure, civil coordination, logistics, commissioning, and post-installation performance.We are looking for a Project Head who can take complete ownership of planning, execution, delivery, and handover of Akvo’s projects—on time, on cost, and to spec.Role OverviewThe Project Head is responsible for end-to-end execution of all assigned projects from:Order closure → engineering coordination → manufacturing → site deployment → commissioning → handover.This is a field-facing leadership role, not a desk-only position.You will be the single point of accountability for delivery success.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionOwn the master project plan for all live projects.Translate sales orders into executable project schedules.Define timelines, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.Ensure projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets.Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate with:Factory & manufacturing teams (Chennai)Electrical, mechanical, and IoT teamsVendors, fabricators, and logistics partnersSite contractors and client facility teamsResolve inter-departmental bottlenecks proactively.Site Execution & CommissioningOversee:Site readiness (power, civil, drainage, access)Installation and commissioning activitiesElectrical and safety compliance at siteEnsure smooth commissioning and stable performance before handover.Conduct site visits across India (and occasionally overseas).Vendor & Contractor ManagementIdentify, onboard, and manage:Electrical contractorsCivil contractorsTransport and crane vendorsControl quality, timelines, and costs.Approve work completion and vendor payments in line with milestones.Cost, Risk & Quality ControlTrack project-wise costs vs budgets.Identify risks early (technical, logistical, client-side).Implement mitigation plans.Ensure adherence to Akvo’s quality and safety standards.Client & Internal CommunicationAct as the primary delivery interface for clients post-order.Provide regular project status updates to management.Manage escalations calmly and professionally.Ensure documentation and handover protocols are followed.Process & ScaleImprove project execution SOPs as Akvo scales.Standardize installation and commissioning playbooks.Build and mentor a project execution team over time.Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have10+ years experience in project execution for:Industrial equipmentWater / HVAC / energy / infrastructure systemsStrong understanding of:Electrical & mechanical coordinationSite execution realitiesContractor and vendor managementProven track record of delivering multi-site projectsWillingness to travel extensivelyStrong ownership mindset—comfortable being accountable end-to-endGood to HaveExperience with decentralized infrastructure systemsExposure to public-sector or institutional projectsFamiliarity with safety standards and site complianceExperience managing projects across multiple geographiesWhat This Role Is NotNot a pure PMP / PMO roleNot limited to planning tools or reportsNot a sales or pre-sales roleThis role is about delivery, coordination, and execution under real constraints.Why This Role Matters at AkvoYou will directly impact customer satisfaction and repeat businessYou will shape how Akvo scales project delivery nationallyYou will work closely with founders and senior leadershipYou will help convert engineering excellence into real-world outcomes
