Your next roleLead the HVAC from concept to detailed design stages.Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in mechanical design - e.g. HVAC, etc in ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, EN/BS or equivalent.Carry out mechanical design calculations, sizing, equipment selection, layouts and technical reports.Prepare technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work.Keep leadership design team members informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the Buro Happold and the client are achieved.Manage project finances, monitor scope, and ensure qualityPlan and organise your workload to ensure that you are meeting clients expectations.Attending client, site and external design team meetings.Support junior engineers and participate in internal design reviews to ensure quality and consistencyYour skills and experience6+ years' experience in building services design engineering;Middle East project experience preferred.Experience in HVAC Designing is a mustExperience of working with international codes such as ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, EN/BS or equivalent Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organisation, combined with ability to work independently. Broad building design knowledge, from working on a wide range of projects.Excel skills (a detailed understanding including the use of macros). Although mechanically biased it is expected that you will have a good understanding of electrical concepts and their impact upon the overall project. Ideally also showing an awareness of other key design team members such as architects, structural and civil engineers. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and mechanical design software.Bachelors degree or Masters degree in relevant subject.
