We are a fast-growing startup operating globally, combining edge AI, computer vision, and intelligent automation to transform care delivery.Role OverviewWe are looking for a Head of Machine Learning to lead Voxela’s AI vision roadmap and build a world-class ML organization. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will define technical direction, architect scalable ML systems, and mentor a high-performance team. You will work closely with founders, product, and engineering to ship production-grade AI systems deployed across real environments.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and wants to build category-defining AI products from the ground up.ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute Voxela’s ML strategy across computer vision, multimodal AI, and edge intelligenceArchitect and scale production ML pipelines from data collection → training → deployment → monitoringLead design and optimization of real-time inference systems running on edge devices and cloud infrastructureOwn model accuracy, latency, robustness, and reliability metrics across multiple use-case & deploymentsBuild and mentor a high-caliber ML team, hiring and developing top talentCollaborate cross-functionally with product, hardware, backend, and customer teamsEstablish evaluation frameworks, experimentation processes, and model lifecycle governanceDrive innovation in areas such as detection, tracking, activity recognition, anomaly detection, and scene understandingStay ahead of research trends and translate cutting-edge techniques into production systemsRequirements8+ years in ML/AI with significant experience shipping production systemsStrong background in computer vision and deep learningExperience deploying models in real-time or resource-constrained environments (edge/mobile/embedded)Hands-on expertise with PyTorch or TensorFlow and modern ML toolingExperience building scalable training pipelines and data infrastructureDemonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring ML engineersStrong system design skills and production mindsetAbility to operate in ambiguity and make high-impact technical decisionsNice to HaveExperience with video analytics, multimodal models, or large vision modelsExperience optimizing models for edge inference (quantization, pruning, compilation)Familiarity with MLOps, monitoring, and model observability toolsStartup or zero-to-one product experiencePublications or open-source contributions in ML/CVWhy Join VoxelaBuild AI systems that directly impact real human livesWork on technically challenging problems at the intersection of vision, edge AI, and real-world environmentsHigh ownership and direct collaboration with foundersOpportunity to shape both technology and team from an early stageCompetitive compensation + equityLocation: India (Remote / Hybrid depending on city)If you want to build real-world AI systems, not just models in notebooks, we’d love to talk.
