Role- Develop and own the overall thermal management strategy for propulsion, battery, power electronics, cabin, and auxiliary systems. - Define system architectures for cooling circuits, HVAC, battery thermal management, hydraulic cooling (off‑highway), and cabin climate systems. - Lead thermal modelling, energy flows, and heat‑rejection strategies for diverse duty cycles and climates. - Oversee concept design, component selection, and integration of: - Battery cooling plates, heat exchangers, compressors - Electric Cooling pumps, valves, thermal manifolds, chillers - Radiators, condensers, charge‑air coolers, oil coolers - Refrigerant and coolant circuit design - Ensure seamless integration with powertrain, electrical systems, battery pack, drivetrain, hydraulics, and vehicle controls. - Work with controls / software teams to define thermal control algorithms, supervisory control logic, and safety limits. - Lead development of DFMEA, DVPSOR, and validation plans for all thermal systems. - Evaluate and approve suppliers for cooling modules, compressors, pumps, valves, hoses, sensors, and HVAC components. - Drive advanced technology studies including: - Heat pumps for EVs - Waste‑heat recovery - High‑voltage coolant heaters - Phase‑change materials - Advanced coolants & refrigerants - Benchmark Best‑in‑class systems across the industry.Skills Required- Cooling system design, thermal modelling & simulation - HVAC and refrigerant systems (R134a, R1234yf, CO₂ preferred) - Battery thermal management for EVs - Controls architecture for thermal systems - CAE tools ( GT‑Suite, 1D/3D CFD) - Testing & validation standards - Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical & CAN‑based control integration.QualificationB.
