With a strong focus on sustainability and the circular economy, we collaborate with leading academics, industry partners, and international organizations to advance battery intelligence and next-generation mobility across Europe and beyond.Position Overview:As a Data Science & ML Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and data-driven solutions. You will work with large datasets, build data pipelines, perform feature engineering, and evaluate model performance. Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams, you will ensure scalable, reliable ML solutions in production. The ideal candidate has strong ML fundamentals, hands-on Python experience, battery domain knowledge and a problem-solving mindset.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and optimization of advanced algorithms for battery state estimation (SoC, SoH, SoP) and lifecycle prediction.Design and implement scalable machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.Analyze large-scale battery performance datasets to extract actionable insights.Architect robust data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model validation pipelines.Deploy ML models into production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers to integrate algorithms into battery management systems (BMS).Drive research initiatives focused on improving battery state algorithms and predictive modeling techniques.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in AI/ML development.Present technical findings, architecture decisions, and performance evaluations to leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with proven industry experience.Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or Matlab.Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn).Interest in battery technology and sustainable energy solutions.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.Knowledge of battery modeling parameters and techniques.
