Role: Senior Data Operations EngineerPosition Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)Contract Duration: 12 months+ (With a Possibility-of-Extension)Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)Work Hours: 8am-4pm EST, 4am-1pm ESTLocation: 100% RemoteWe’re looking for a Senior Data Operations Engineer to support and optimize a modern data stack. This role combines strong technical expertise in SQL & Python with deep experience in data warehousing, optimization, and cloud data platforms.You’ll oversee end-to-end data pipelines, improve performance and cost efficiency, and collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure high data quality and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Manage and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and workflowsMonitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-saving improvementsWork with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Cloud, DBT, and ELT toolsConduct code reviews, unit testing, and data quality validationCollaborate with business teams on data integration and architectureDrive automation and process improvementsPresent insights and technical solutions to stakeholdersRequirements:5+ years in data engineering / data operations rolesStrong SQL expertiseExperience with Snowflake and/or cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Experience with ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, Airflow)Experience with git-based workflowsStrong understanding of data modeling & data architecture principlesNice to Have:Strong Python skillsExperience migrating enterprise data warehouses to SnowflakeAirline industry experience
