Blutic is looking for a Database Administrator with a minimum 5 years experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance. The candidate should provide technical support to application development teams and assist with impact analysis of changes due to development, testing, and production usage.This position will require on-call and weekend support on rotation basis for planned and unplanned activities.The candidate should have supported 24x7 systems in a High-Availability environment.This is a 100% remote opportunity. Roles & responsibilities:Experience with Oracle RDBMS versions 19c, 11gR2, 12c and and Oracle 12c Cloud ControlStrong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts in UNIX/Linux environmentsInstallation, configuration and management of Oracle RAC, CRS, ASM and RMANDatabase partitioning, archiving strategies, backup and recoveryDatabase capacity planningDatabase creation, design, implementation and maintenance of large databasesCloning databases and replication strategiesEvaluation, upgrade and testing of database software patches and new versionsPerformance tuning, SQL Explain Plans, etc.Collaborate with application teams and support them by providing advice and counsel with respect to performance tuning (for both OLTP and batch processes)Developing and participating in long term strategies for High Availability and Disaster Recovery using Oracle Data Guard, and major migration initiativesImplementing best practices for access controlsAbility to support 24*7 shifts with On call weekend coverageThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:Problem-solving skills and proven record of working well in a team environmentAdvanced proficiency in communication skills (verbal and written) across all organizational levelsCritical thinker and complex problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detailAbility to be effective in an environment of rapid change and complexityAbility to document technical as well as management process flowsAbility to work effectively with business areas, IT Support teams and peersStrong verbal and written communication skills.
