Duration: Full-timeLocation: Sahakarnagar, BengaluruQualification: MS/ME/MTech in Aerospace/Electrical/Communications Engineering or any other related field, although this is secondary to relevant experience (minimum 2 years).Job Responsibilities•        Design of Pointing, Acquisition and Tracking (PAT) systems for optical communication systems for mobile platforms (ships, aircraft and satellites etc.)•        Explore, model and design control systems for 2-axis/3-axis gimbals•        Drive component selection, specification of interfaces etc.•        Development and Implementation of PAT and GNC algorithms on embedded platforms•        Contribute to system design end-to-end from concept through testing and deployment•        Documentation/presentation on design, lab & field tests•        Contribute to peer and external design reviewsRequired Skills/Experience•        2-3 years in Modeling, Simulation of control systems•        Familiarity with classical and modern control system methods•        Familiarity with discrete time signal processing (FIR, IIR filters etc.), notions of sampling etc.•        Familiarity with frequency domain analysis (Fourier Transform etc.)•        Familiarity with implementation of control algorithms on embedded hardware•        Comfortable in programming languages – C/C++, MATLAB, Simulink, Python or similar•        Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)•        Prior experience in design, implementation and testing of control systems related to aerospace systemsOther Requirements•        Motivated to work within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment•        Self-driven desire to learn more & continuously upskill themselves•        Ability to deal with challenges, and work out solutions in a team setting•        Critical thinking, ability to critique design and make independent decisions•        Relentless pursuit of excellence in all aspects of work•        Strong interpersonal and organization skills to enable working in a dynamic team•        Strong verbal and written communication skillsBenefits•        Health Insurance coverage•        Flexible working hours•        Opportunity to publish research on behalf of Astrogate Labs in national and international conferencesIf you like working in a fast-paced environment with a talented multi-disciplinary team on developing and maturing state-of-the-art LaserComm systems, then this role might be for you.Astrogate Labs is an equal opportunity employer.
