The Senior SAP Solution Architect & Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving complex SAP transformation projects, including S/4HANA conversions, upgrades, and migrations. This position is responsible for defining technical strategies, leading end-to-end solution architecture, and ensuring successful project delivery within tight deadlines. The role is central to aligning SAP solutions with client business objectives, managing project teams, and fostering innovation in cloud, integration, and data management initiatives. As a trusted advisor to senior executives, this position significantly impacts HCLTech’s reputation for excellence in delivering world-class SAP solutions.Detailed ResponsibilitiesLead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of SAP projects, including S/4HANA conversions, upgrades, and migrations.Develop business cases for SAP solutions, including Cloud, Fiori, and S/4HANA adoption, to support client transformation initiatives.Define systems strategy, gather requirements, design prototypes, oversee testing, deliver training, and implement business solutions.Track project status, manage and escalate project issues and risks, and ensure project milestones are achieved.Provide comprehensive project status reporting and budget monitoring to leadership and senior management.Escalate critical project issues and risks as necessary, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation strategies.Build and lead high-performing project teams, delivering performance feedback and supporting capability development.Develop and execute resource management plans to optimize project outcomes.Document and file project-level lessons learned, participate in PMO center of excellence programs, and coach/mentor team members.Deliver timely project health and performance dashboards.Establish and facilitate regular project team meetings, maintaining and communicating project risk and issue logs.Skill RequirementsMinimum 12 years of industry and/or consulting experience, with at least 5 years proven experience in Solution Architecture for SAP solutions (infrastructure, integration, data management, application disposition).Functional or technical proficiency with at least 5 full-life cycle SAP implementations.Advanced degree or MBA preferred; university degree required or equivalent.Strong project management, configuration, and design skills.PMP or Prince2 certification.Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent communication abilities.In-depth knowledge of portfolio, business functions, and stakeholder management.Profound understanding of IT fundamentals, management concepts, IT tools, architecture, technology strategy, sourcing, finance, and supporting systems.Applied experience in managing complex application and infrastructure projects, specifically SAP S/4HANA conversions, upgrades, and migrations.Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and terminology.Other Requirements (Optional)Six Sigma certification preferred.SAP experience and knowledge highly advantageous.Proven ability to work comfortably with senior executives.Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills.Commitment to building internal and external eminence.Willingness and ability to travel 80-100% as needed.
