At HCL Software we Develop, Market, Sell and Support over 20 Product families in the areas of Customer Experience, Digital Solutions, Secure DevOps, Security & Automation.About the Role: - We’re looking for aSr. FinOps Engineer (AWS, Azure, GCP) with 4+ yrs ofprofessional exp to help drive cloud financial accountability across the organization. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, cloud Ops, Devops and business, ensuring our cloud spend is transparent, optimised, and aligned with business value.Technical Skills Required: - 4+ years’ experience in cloud cost management, FinOps, cloud engineering, or financial analysis. ● Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP). ● Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and billing structures ● Experience with FinOps tools (e.g., Cloud Health, Apptio, Cloud ability, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management) ● Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets ● Ability to communicate financial insights to technical and non-technical Stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: ● Monitor, analyse, and optimise cloud spend across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP ● Build and maintain cost dashboards, forecasts, and budgets ● Partner with engineering teams to drive cost-efficient architectures ● Identify and implement savings opportunities (rightsizing, RI/SP, autoscaling, storage optimisation) ● Establish and improve FinOps best practices, policies, and governance ● Support chargeback/show back models for business units ● Investigate cost anomalies and usage spikes ● Collaborate with finance on forecasting, accruals, and month-end reporting ● Educate teams on cost awareness and cloud economics Preferred Qualifications: ● FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional ● Experience with Kubernetes cost management (Kubecost or similar) ● SQL, Python, or scripting experience ● Experience in SaaS or high-growth environments ● Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansibel) What Success Looks Like: ● Clear visibility into cloud costs across teams ● Measurable reduction in unnecessary cloud spend ● Engineers actively making cost-aware decisions ● Accurate and predictable cloud cost forecasting Why Join Us ● High ownership and real business impact ● Close collaboration with engineering leadership ● Opportunity to shape FinOps maturity from the ground up ● Competitive compensation and benefits.
